THE CHALLENGE

Anonymous voice. Crowded category.

Mai had no social presence, no platform credibility, no audience reach. The lifestyle/entertainment category in MENA is brutally crowded — established creators with hundreds of thousands of followers are the floor, not the ceiling.

The bigger constraint: zero budget for ads. Every viral creator with this growth speed had paid distribution backing them. We had to do it on pure organic.

Most creators in this position give up after 3–6 months when the numbers don’t move. Or they buy followers and kill their algorithmic reach permanently.

Engineer the hook. Compound the cadence.

  • Hook frameworks tested per video — first 1.5 seconds engineered to stop the scroll
  • Content cadence: 1+ video daily, every day, no skip — algorithm rewards consistency more than quality
  • Cross-platform repurposing — every TikTok hit got Reels + Facebook video versions within 24h
  • Niche micro-positioning — entertainment with a specific cultural angle that resonated in MENA
  • Separate gaming channel built parallel — diversification before the lifestyle channel matured
